Werner Hamacher: Emmanuel Levinas Chair at EGS, PhD, is Professor for General and Comparative Literature at the University of Frankfurt, Germany, and Global Distinguished Professor at New York University. A leading critical thinker in the tradition of Paul de Man and Jacques Derrida, renowned for his bridging of literature, philosophy, and politics, Hamacher was previously Professor of German and the Humanities at Johns Hopkins University.
