Policy on Equal Opportunity: The EGS promotes equal rights in all its functions and activities as well as an understanding and appreciation of gender differences in regards to culture, language, and ideology. No person should be discriminated against due to their race, sex, nationality, language, and ideology. An appointed faculty member is responsible for supervising Gender Equality at the university, including equal rights and sexual harassment issues. Academic Policy: To earn the Master of Arts / PhD degree a student must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 (grade of "B" or higher). Each students progress is reviewed every year, and a student ma be placed on academic probation or, in certain cases, not permitted to continue the program. In all cases, the program reserves the right to determine the conditions of a student's continued progress toward the degree.
Grievance Procedure: If a student has a complaint, the process is as follows: The first step is to speak with the faculty member. And the difficulty cannot be resolved, the student should contact the Program Director. If there is a need after this point, the Dean and the Provost can be involved.
