Catren works as a researcher in philosophy and philosophy of mathematical-physics in the Institut SPHERE – Sciences, Philosophie, Histoire (Université Paris Diderot – CNRS). Previously, he worked as a program director at Collège international de philosophie (Ciiph). He wrote two doctoral dissertations: one in theoretical physics at the University of Buenos Aires (2005) ad the other one in philosophy at Paris 8, Université Vincennes – Saint Denis (2008). His research interests include wide range of topics, from quantification of gauge theories to philosophy of gauge theories and quantum mechanics.
