In Remembrance: Sylvère Lotringer (1938–2021)

The European Graduate School mourns the passing of its colleague, Sylvère Lotringer, Jean Baudrillard Professor of Philosophy.  Professor Lotringer’s astonishing intellectual trajectory made him a key faculty member of the Media and Communications Division directed by Wolfgang Schirmacher.  His singular engagement as a theoretical activist has left an indelible mark on the spirit and ambitions of the EGS.
